Compact Dry TC
Description:
Compact Dry is a simple and safe procedure for determining and quantifying microorganisms in foodstuffs, cosmetics and other raw materials, including pharmaceuticals. The ready-to-use Compact Dry chromogenic plates are suitable for both in-process and final product controls.
l.
Thanks to redox indicators and chromogenic substrates, bacterial colonies grow in specific colors and can be easily distinguished and identified. For further analysis, specific colonies can be easily extracted separately. Aerobic colonies show a red coloration due to the tetrazole salt (redox indicator) and can thus be easily distinguished from possible food residues.

Mode of use:
- Removing the cover
- Deposit 1 ml of the sample in the center of the surface of the Compact Dry plate.
- The sample is automatically and homogeneously dispersed on the film, and transforms the dry film into a gel in a few seconds.
- Replace the cover on the plate. Incubate for the prescribed time.

Interpretation of results:
The medium consists of a non-selective medium with redox indicator 2,3,5-Tripenyl Tetrazolium Chloride (TTC). Colonies grown on Compact Dry TC are almost all red in color. Since some microorganisms may not reduce TTC to develop red/pink color, Compact Dry TC may develop colonies that are not necessarily light red. The red colonies, together with those of other colors, yield the total count.
Storage and shelf life:
Keep at room temperature, from 1 to 30 °C. 18 months shelf life.
